I Still Love the Library!

The family and I have been going to the library on a semi-regular basis lately. It's a new tradition I'm going to do everything I can to maintain. The kids love it of course, but I'm renewing a love of reading and learning that I'm sad to say I'd been ignoring for too long. Also, the more I read, the more I want to write --which could mean more posts may show up here and elsewhere with more regularity (but don't read any promises into this).

I grabbed a few Stephen King novels that I'd missed over the years. I've also been digging through the non-fiction stuff, books on music and movies, graphic novels and so on. I'd like to post some reviews of some of the treasures I've found, but I'm too busy reading.

Something new with the library is that they now allow you to take quite a few books out at once. I asked and the maximum per card is 100! Who has time to read that many in two weeks? I know you can renew every time, but that's ridiculous. I've found the one negative is that if you forget to return or renew your large stack of books for the whole family, the fines add up quickly ($.15 / day / book). So just be careful.
