Celebrate Children: End of an Era

Tonight my daughter Reese made me so proud once again with her final performance with the dance group at the school district known as Celebrate Children. It has been so inspiring for her for the last four years, but now that she is leaving eighth grade, her time with the group has ended.

I don't know what I expected when she first joined. It seemed a little complex and time-consuming for a "simple dance group" --which is what I assumed at first. But this was so much bigger than I have ever understood. It was a huge commitment for her both in time and energy. But she has pulled through week after week with excellence. She has become an amazing dancer and confident performer, thanks in no small part to the teachers and volunteers who make this group happen.

I'm so floored and proud of my baby girl.
